Bellus Custom Homes built my home in 2010. I was a prior home owner but had never had a custom home built and was not sure where to start.
I chose Bellus to build my home for four reasons. First, I check them out through the Better Business Bureau and local authorities and found nothing negative. Second, an associate of mine stated it was an excellent company and that I could trust Edward Schwab (Ed), the President/Owner. Third, every reference I called had nothing negative to say about them. Forth and most importantly, after meeting initially with David Smith (VP) and Ed I had a good feeling about them and trusted that they would do a good job at building the home I had worked so hard for. It was also very apparent that they took great pride in their workmanship which proved to be a benefit for me.
During the building process Ed and his team lead me through every step of the process. No decision was ever made or taken for granted without my approval. Ed and his team each took a role in the process and Ed was very active in supervising and documenting each step of the construction. I worked mostly with David during the construction and he always returned my phone calls, listened to what I was saying and set his schedule to meet with me as needed at the construction site. I was never ignored and they made the building process as simple as possible. Also, the Construction Manager Charles Seybert (Chuck) was great to work with.
I now live in my Bellus Custom Home and have had no major issues. The quality of the home is everything I expected and I am very satisfied. Ed, David and Chuck have all followed up with me to address small issues and most importantly have continued to remain available. They didn’t just build my home and then disappear. They are standing behind their workmanship.
